9. Cyndane is weaker than Lanfear because the DO had given Lanfear more strength at some point as a reward during the AoL ... when he transmigrated her soul he took it away as part of her punishment

I don't get why the DO wouldn't have given all the Forsaken excessive super strength if this was the case, though. The Dark One doesn't really care which of the Forsaken survive, and that much strength virtually gaurantees they would individually be able to win against almost any opponent they meet.

For example, if I had my way every channeler would be as strong as Rand. Because it would just be so much more awesome just for the sake of the story.


There doesn't seem to be a real answer that makes a whole lot of sense. My thought goes that the DO gave Lanfear a special gift at some point, perhaps because she did something particularly evil for him :)

We know how fickle the DO is so it's possible he did this just to piss off Ishamael! Or at least to keep Ishamael honest, if there was another ruthless channeler who could equal him then Ishy needed to be kept honest :P
