Sure, he and Lews Therin probably make the best choice in the end, but I think his earlier attempts at stoicism are admirable as well. Sometimes, it really is better not to feel or care.


Rand has the toughest challenge in WOT. On an emotional level, everyone is trying to manipulate him for their own ends, on a physical level he is in great pain from the twin wounds as well as having been tortured by Aes Sedai and on a pyschological level he has had to deal with the voice in his head-believing that he is on the edge of madness. I can't wait to see how the integrated Rand-LTT will act.
