The Forsaken, both at the Cleansing and in general, have proven themselves to be quite inadequate. Throughout the books it's shown that they really aren't capable of fighting this day and age. Their selfishness - and perhaps a lack of defined purpose - rendered them impotent to do even more than passing damage to the forces of light.

I hope that Demandred turns out to be different. But I don't think he will be.
