Anytime Rand or one of the cast members hold a cuendillar seal, they comment that it is much heavier than it looks, and it tends to weigh down the pouch Moiraine carried one in during the first part of the series IIRC.
Im picturing the seals being roughly the size and weight of maybe a stone coaster (the thing you put a drink on so it dosnt leave rings on your tables) I would imagine that they are heavier than they look, as they seem to look like porcelin. They may retain the original weight of the iron it is made of... Solid iron is fairly hefty. Even so, the shields could be made my foil thick iron which would be a good deal lighter than any other material... As for armor plating it would be wonderful... although imagine if some of the black sisters who escaped were able to make cuendillar, we could see cuendillar armored trollocs...
