And plate armor is usually out of the question, just not quite so obviously. But foil thin shields? The only hang-up is the time it would take an AS to make a man-sized hunk of cuendillar, if they take days and weeks to make a goblet. But if Asha'man could get involved, it's possible. Maybe not feasible for the whole Westland armies, but definitely for some bodyguards for Rand or certain key generals or specialized forces (perhaps the Legion of the Dragon, combine the crossbow crank with shieldman in the front lines.
Really? plate mail may be out of the question. but straight up plate armor? how not so obviously is it out of the question?

I'm still not sure if cuendillar would be "destroyed" or "remain"

Quick question ...

No - cuendillar just gets stronger the more powerful a force you use against it

The vast majority of WoT folk aren't particularly innovative

Create a ter'angreal that can open gateways wherever it is pointed and triggered.

Or they could just tie the gateway weave off, like Sammael did in CoS, and Rand did in KoD...

Tied-off weaves dont last forever
14/01/2010 07:39:53 PM

Why would this mean that the gateway weave doesn't need to be maintained? *NM*
17/01/2010 03:22:58 PM

Because even if it wasn't tied off, it'd get stuck around the cuendillar doorway, unable to close. *NM*

But RJ said that cuendillar could not pass into a gateway, didn't he?
