I don't think this has anything to do with it. I think it's as simple as bonded male channelers cannot be compelled (lowercase) by the bond. Much like Elayne can't compel Birgitte.


I don't think we know for certain but it seemed a reasonable possibility.

Other possibilities are that male channelers cannot be compelled as you say. Or that Rand was too strong in will. Or that ta'veren somehow protected him. Or something.

Oh, and when did Elayne try to compel Birgitte? I could see her being able to resist through sheer will anyway considering who she is but can you give me a quote since I don't remember this.

We know that a bond similar to the warder bond works on women and they can be compelled. Tovaine and the sisters with her.
