The matters there are of interest to us, but not all that much anymore to the characters (scholars aside).

Jordan even spoke of "newly discovered documents" to skirt around the problem he was well aware of that it covers material forgotten in the actual WOT world (information about Be'lal, more information about the AOL and WOS than even historians in the series seem to possess etc.) He also made the scholar a non-Aes Sedai so we don't go and assume wrongly these matters are known to every sister in Tar Valon.

As far as I'm concerned, the existence of anything from the Guide/Strike at SG is not canonical within the series' universe, unless proven otherwise. And by that I mean those interviews with WO, Faile or sisters mentionned, the documents like "Strike", the detailed history of Hawkwing that seem to go beyond what scholars know, the information on Shara and Seanchan etc. That thing about scholars having written the Guide is just a device to set the tone and frame the Guide and "Strike". That stuff has no impact on the series proper.
