Graendal has weaves on the windows of her palace - she hasn't warded her estate against heat.

That would depend on what you think a warding is. What you call tied off weaves on her windows seem like wards against the heat to me. Wasn't there discussion about what Demandred considered defensive wardings during the Cleansing? In that discussion, I was pretty sure that some were basically defensive shields while others might have neutralized heat, static build up or the other effects the Power might be channeled into as a weapon. After all, the Aes Sedai consider their tied off weaves keeping rats out of the Tower to be Wards, but those are basic effects that are synonymous with weaves causing rodents to stay away.

And I think the key fact is that those channelers used gateways to bypass her grounds and come directly to her throne room, which would not have triggered a proximity alarm in the same way that someone crossing her grounds on foot or hiding nearby would have.

I think it's funny that these channelers seem to know how to Travel to a location without being that familiar with it.

Which makes warding redundant I guess. If Rand is going to attack Graendal he'll Travel into her palace much like he did with Rahvin and Sammael. It's illogical to assume a channeler would walk into her estates.

He could have. IMHO Graendal and Rahvin were quite similar, so this scene actually played out quite similarly to how Rahvin's fight with Rand turned out except I think Graendal fled before Rand could attack, which would reveal the downside of using the Power as a massive weapon.
