I mean, I was a firm believer in The Longest Theory for a long time, which by my reckoning makes it sane. But I do love the crazy theories like The Mirror World Switch, The Uncrowned King and whatever Diomedes called that idea that Berelain was actually Mesaana.

To specify, I love them because their defenders could actually make them credible.

I only have scorn for the crazy theories that were supported by nothing.


I had forgotten some of those - especially the Berelain/Mesanna theory.

Wotmania had its fair share of loonies (LAN IS AN UNSTOPPABLE JUGGERNAUT!!!!!) but the vast number of posters spoke knowledgeably of the text and were able to support their theories with text (exceptions being those marked "humourous";).
