Initially, I really disliked her, and saw her as another manipulative, selfish, and detrimental noble. As I read on, however, I was surprised to find that my opinion of her has changed quite drastically. I've found her to be a unique character with a distinct personality and very realistic interactions and personal growth. I'd even go so far as to say that she is one of the most realistic characters in WOT (my personal opinion, of course).

Maybe it's because she is very upfront about her sexuality, and largely ignores the typical ,bickering, male-female dynamic that so many of the characters undergo. It might be because of the little (and often surprising) details and insights that RJ threw in. Like the fact that she had become friends with Rhuarc, of all people, and got along with the Aiel. Or that a large part of her sexuality was a ruse, and she was actually quite reserved about having sex. And that when she did so, it was for her country, not for pleasure.
