Moridin ordered Graendal to make Rand feel pain of heart. Did she succeed? Your thoughts.
No: Graendal failed 'cause Semirhage beat her to it.
Yes: The mission was accompblished because Semirhage did it.
No: The plot was absolute, abject failure. Moridin made a move unworthy of an advanced Sha'rah player, and inexcusable for an alleged expert. He allowed "The Last That Could Be Done" to Rand to happen prematurely, giving Rand time to recover his humanity, laughter and tears before the Last Battle.
Idiot. (Moridin, that is)
I think time was shorter than he wanted. He can still win, via the "bloody melee", but it was worth a shot to try the simpler win.

Graendal's demise is unproven. I say it was Moghedien Rand balefired in Natrin's Barrow. *NM*

Forgot to add: Didn't Graendal also have prize channelers among her slave menagerie? *NM*
