I'm at a friends having drinks celebrating another friend who had come into town for the first time in about a year. At one point, in the background there was a movie playing....Wolfhound maybe?....and some dude is wacking people around with a staff. Out of the blue, my friend from out of town looks at me and says "who's that remind you of?" We both instantly say "Matrim Cauthon". We hadn't discussed WOT in years. (he stopped reading after LoC for the most part)

I would slave, to pave the way, to sink your ship of fools.
