Depends, photos of the WW1 grave yards are shown and I tend to find them a moving tribute to those who died. It's really something that varies from person to person IMHO.

I would rather have a reminder of the sacrifice these people made to their country, and to the world. They believed what they were doing was right (Debatable, but still) and they gave their lives for that cause. While some might see it as bad taste to show the pictures of their coffins, I don't find it so. Why send them off to war to die, and then try to have people forget about what happens when they do. To pull the curtain over the dead is to deny them the recognition and honour they deserve.

Not only does it serve as a cutting reminder of the costs of war, the symbolism is very moving. Showing the coffins does not mean a lack of respect, in my opinion, but a show of it.
