'Season Pass' authors. What are yours? Chas Send a noteboard - 30/04/2010 12:39:45 AM
I've never used it before but apparently TiVo has a function wherein if you like a show enough you can decide to give it a 'season pass' and from that moment on it gets recorded without you having to set it each week.

So, given the above, which authors would you give a 'season pass' to?
As in, you heard this author had a new book coming out and you bought it before you even bothered checking to see what it was about. If you don't tend to buy books I suppose which authors you immediately put requests in for at your library would qualify.

A final caveat: Series do not count. I think it's only natural to buy the next book in a series if you liked it, regardless of the author. For instance, you may be a huge fan of ASOIAF and you may have bought each one as soon as it came out, but GRRM would only qualify as a 'season pass' author if you discovered he was publishing a non-ASOIAF book and you picked that up as soon as it came out. Does that make sense?

I suppose this is just a who are your absolute favourite authors question.
