Well the two things I can think of right now are Werber's Fourmi series. It's about the adventures of an ant in her colony and in parallel the adventures of people involved in the study of ants (? I read this years ago, my memory is a bit hazy). It has exciting chases, secret underground labs and mysterious old books.

Another one would be Le Juif Errant by d'Ormesson. It's historical fiction, basically taking the legend of the Wandering Jew and following that character through history. Quite good.

Only her SF has been translated into English so far. - 14/05/2010 09:24:19 PM 622 Views
It has to be rather annoying when that happens, translations ending halfway. - 14/05/2010 09:45:00 PM 649 Views
Or, you could read it and tell me what happens. - 14/05/2010 09:51:21 PM 638 Views
