The satire on war definitely works. Thought he did that rather well.

But he went too far for the corporation/big organisation satire and instead descended into farce. The whole IMF loan thing to Zaher Bey's state was just ridiculous.


I think it's something someone from a "Third World" can i.d. with greater accuracy, in some ways. Not because we're the only people who take loans from the IMF, but because we're open with ourselves about it. It's... not something we're allowed to shy away from.

And the Big Bucks Organisation satire - my gods, he would not shut up about them, would he? I do think that if he had let up on the commentary for Big Bucks/The Government/Routinised Operations in general the big Reveal re: the Big Bad would have been more impacty. Instead it just felt like Harkaway had slotted in the only intro'd Corporate Big Shot into the role.
