You've not got it quite right. We are able to distinguish between a truck and a lorry.

Americans (and Rebekah) erroneously believe lorries to be trucks. The difference is that lorries are much bigger, are articulated and pull closed containers.
So the members of the Haulage & HazMat Emergency Civil Freebooting Company may well have driven a truck and been British (or rather Cubritannian).
