I actually paid some of my kids ten dollars to read the first book of series that I knew they would fall in love with. Best money I ever spent. They all love reading now.


It's funny you say that. I gave my daughter the book and told her that if she finished it before I finished The Passage I would give her $10!

She's moving right along, and I hope she falls in love with it.

She's 13 and still reading "Alice" books and stuff like that.

Do you have daughters? Any recommendations I can push on her?

I've never read it, but have heard Anne of Green Gables is good.
