I finished it a few days ago. It was alright and Mieville is capable of writing captivating scenes but overall the book felt fractured. It was like he couldn't decide what he really wanted to write so he bounced around a lot. There was a struggle to form a cohesive narrative. Definitely an autopilot type effort.


Goss and Subby were indeed awesome though.
