they both deserved awards for grudge-holding.

but this is the first time i've actually really thought about petunia, and i think i feel more sorry for her than snape. that doesn't excuse how crappy she was, but...

first she was super jealous because she didn't get to go to hogwarts. if you think about it, that would be terrible. think about what it would be like if you found out your sibling got to go to disney world and you just had to stay home. and not just a week at disney world. the next 8 years :P. and then when she comes home over the summer she gets all the attention from your parents. and this is what petunia went through every single year until lily turned 17, and then lily moved away from home to live with another of "her kind" and that was the last she saw of her.
