Okay folks, TOR has offered up 3 ARC copies of Brandon Sanderson's upcoming THE WAY OF KINGS. "Why would I want an ARC copy of the book?" you might ask. Well, you want it because it is available now... you know before the book is officially released.

So, the details:

This will be for US residents, or people who have connections to someone with a US mailing address.

In order to get the names and addresses of the winners to TOR with a chance for those people to actually get the book before it is published, the contest will run from now until Tuesday, August 10th.

There is only one further caveat if you win, you need to write a review of the book and post it. It doesn't have to be a long, in-depth review, but we want to hear your thoughts and reactions to the novel.

Okay, to enter all you have to do is reply to this thread with your name, and why you want to win a copy of the book or your favorite thing about one of Sanderson's other stories.

Winners will be selected by a drawing. The reasons for wanting the book, or your favorite memories from other Sanderson novels, are intended to be conversation starters.


I would love to review the book. What a great opportunity. I can't wait for this book. It'll be the start of a masterpiece that he has wanted to write for most of his life, probably since Dragonsteel. He has written over 300,000 words of background material for this novel, as long as Mistborn itself. It is supposed to utilize around 25 different magic systems (Mistborn had 3) and follows at least 50 characters (less than WoT, but far more than Mistborn, which had 6). It will be 10 books long and the first is over 1000 pages! It's going to be massive and amazing! I cannot wait. I've read up on this as much as is physically possible without having read the book. I'm so pumped to read it.
