I'm Brandon Markham.

I'm just getting into Fantasy fiction, and have been reading it for two years now. I began with The Eye of The World, and I hated reading before that. Before I knew he died(I read TWotW months after Mr. Jordan's untimely death), I always wanted to meet him. Now, I'll admit, when I heard that someone else was going to pick up the series(Brandon Sanderson), I was skeptical. But never judge a book by it's cover. Before The Gathering Storm came out, I wanted to read Sanderson more and more, until one day, my hands flipped through Mistborn. Unfortunately, due to time issues and the library, I had to put it down, but months later (a few weeks ago) I would be a more than proud owner, and finished within the week I bought it, Elantris.

My reason for wanting to win this contest, and to read The Way of Kings, is to learn how to write. No, it's to learn how to tell a story set in a huge world(which(I'm assuming)) just as big as Westeros in Song of Ice and Fire, the world of Steve Erikson's "The Malazan Book of the Fallen", and Middle-Earth of Lord of The Rings. I am a huge fan of worlds this large, always hungry to learn a little more.

Another reason why I would love to win the contest, heck, to even own the book, is to see how creative Mr. Sanderson can be. I am a person who loves imagination and creativity, and seeing how Sanderson does it inspires me. Heck, Sanderson IS the reason why I seek out Fantasy novels set in worlds that do not have the cliche'd races and settings others do have, unless something is different.

Another reason why I would love to win this contest, is the most selfish of all reasons, and yet the one that we even entering. I'm just freakin' excited.

Well, that's all I have to say, but really though, I would Love to win this contest(p.s. I didn't read Good reads contest =( )
