The author goes by the name of Raël. A large part of the message is apparently about "sensual meditation", read orgies. Why? Is that your question? Well, because it allows "us to get rid of the Judeo-Christian inhibitions of guilt, whilst at the same time not falling into the ethereal mysticism of eastern teachings,... " The creation theory for mankind which he details is so cheesy and comical that I actually wanted to finish the whole dumb book, which I did. My opinion of mankind suffered a little bit for doing so.
