Do you prefer the books you read to be considered "literature" or was that more of a general comment about how people think of fantasy and sci-fi?

It's completely distracting when real world stuff is done badly, so I'd definitely prefer to read full imagination if those were the choices.


Yeah, general comment. I prefer for it to be full on sci fi and fantasy. I was just commenting that it's too bad that my less favorite parts of sci fi and fantasy are the closest to being considered real literature. I still don't care that much though, it's not as if I'm embarrassed to say I love science fiction.
