Does that mean your just read some Karin Slaughter? Cockatiel of Doom Send a noteboard - 22/09/2010 02:40:43 AM
I read a crime/mystery/thriller today (number 3 of 5 for my crime project). It was pretty gruesome, but very good. Although the bad dude was a little too easy to guess.

Anyway.

Makes me wonder how authors like Karin Slaughter come up with the horrible things they write. Because it started off pretty icky (in the good way, I have to admit), but then got a lot, lot worse.

I've just started reading a couple of hers, and the second one was absolutely horrible (in the yucky factor, it was a decent story). If you're speaking of Blindsighted, I did like the gruesomeness of that one. And if it's the same book, I agree about the bad dude.
