and in retrospect I agree. It wasn't about sexual content or violence or horror, it was about completely missing the point. The most interesting example is when I read A Doll's House by Ibsen (she had told me not to), and I assumed Nora was nuts -- I had much sympathy for her poor husband, afflicted with an insane wife. Until I read it again later on.
