I should read this then. I was very close to reading it about six months ago, but I was worried it would be really biased.


Well, it definitely isn't balanced. I don't think the author started his research and thought, "Well, we'll see how things turn out." It isn't THE definitive book on the Belgian Congo, but I think it is still a great read.
