Funny, I thought the most literary aspect of it was Ghavrel Send a noteboard - 21/11/2010 10:22:49 PM
the delicacy with which he frames the passing away of an age. Kay is very tender with Al-Rassan, but I don't think he's maudlin about it.

I think the theme of inexorable change is a common one in Kay's works, though. He does a good job with it.
