I'm considering getting a Kindle when I file my tax returns in 2011. I have two questions:

(1) How easy is the Kindle to read in low light? If I'm a passenger on a road trip and the light is fading and/or inconsistent I'm going to want something that I can read pretty easily.

Its not the greatest lowlight, but as Lit said, the battery life is crazy with it. If you don't want to pay $60 for a case with a light, get a case, then go someplace like Walgreens that has a little clip on light for like $3. Then you can clip it onto the case cover and you're set. Or a book store has those types of lights, too.

(2) Is it worth the extra money to get the $189 one instead of the $139 one?

I doubt it. Use that savings to get the light you want for reading :P

Your mom. That's right. The cat is out of the bag. Your mom.
