It's not just the sheer volume of books; it's the combination of having the time to read that many books, the ability to understand most of them and the ability to review them using big-wordiness.
And the languages. I have language brain, but am too lazy to make myself learn more than the one I know.
Example: People who love Eco make me jealous, because he writes exactly the type of stories that I love. For whatever reason, I have trouble reading him. Again, possibly through laziness.
