It's a great book. Panorphaeon Send a noteboard - 09/01/2011 07:58:06 PM
How much better is it than the Disney version? I tried watching that, but felt like what I would imagine it would be like to be high on LSD or something. It always seemed like an interesting story, but the little of the movie that I saw didn't interest me in the least.

The usual stance about taking drugs to appreciate the story is sort of annoying at this point -- unless someone likes taking acid and reading any other sort of literature there is no real reason to do so with Carroll. He was a mathematician and the book probably has more to do with the impossibility of reconciling the abstract math that was being developed in his day with logic or the experiential world than it does any sort of altered state brought on by chemicals.
