Just finished reading I Shall Wear Midnight, and I will post a review in the next couple of days as I can't see that anybody else has. But first, I wanted to ask a few questions about what you think of Sir Terry.

1) have you read any Terry Pratchett?


I think I read all the novels

2) if so was it Discworld or something else or both? How many books?


Discworld, Truckers, Johnny Maxwell, Strata, Nation, Good Omens.

3) what is your overall opinion of Pratchett's writing?


Well, since I keep reading you can imagine I like it. A lot.

4) which are your favourite arc of books by TP? (e.g Tiffany Aching, Vimes, Strata, the truckers etc.)


Discworld. I like all the arcs I think. There are some books I liked less like Mort, Equal Rites, Sourcery and Pyramids but I still like other books about Death and Wizards a lot.

5) have you noticed a change in his style or quality since his diagnosis with Alzheimers?


I think the last books are more serious but Pratchett has been going in that direction even before the diagnosis. I think it got faster lately.

6) do you think it is right for an author to be knighted on the basis of fiction he has written?


I though he was knighted also for his work for spreading knowledge about Alzheimer and helping to found the research for the cure

7) what is your favourite individual Pratchett book?


Small Gods

8) do you also think this is his best work?


Yes

9) do you ever find that you don't think of your favourite book by an author etc as the best one? Why is this (not) so?


I don't think so but sometimes I have hard time to decide which one I think is best.

10) have you read I Shall Wear Midnight? What did you think?


Yes. I liked how grown up it is. How the witch job description lacks magic and has plenty of responsibility. How the fairytale ending of marrying a prince (baron) is left for something more realistic. This time narrative did not take over the story.

11)do you prefer TP's funny satires, his somewhat darker mire serious works (generally still satirical) something in between or do you see his work as something else? Or do you hate all of it?


I like it all. What I like best depends on the mood.

12) have you seen any of the tv sealskins of his works? How do you think they compare to the novels?


They are not as good as novels obviously but they were fun (well, Colour of Magic less then others, much less)
