I got one for Christmas, and I love it. Michael Send a noteboard - 28/01/2011 02:09:09 PM
so i'm flirting with the idea of getting a kindle. i've too many books and the thought of one day moving house with all these books kind of fills me with dread. so the kindle.

do you have one, do you like it? can i get magazine or newspaper subscriptions with it? does it show images or photos if i do get these subscriptions? is it superior to my getting an ipad with ibooks on it? and the main question...why get it with 3g? if i can download books using Whispernet on the 3g-less version, what's the 3g for?

I got the wifi only one, so when I want new books, I but them/email them in the house. When I am out and about I just read. If you feel the ability to have things downloaded when you are away from your wifi is important, then get the 3G.

I haven't tried any picture books yer, so I can't comment on the images

Agreed. DRM is wretched. Go with the nook. *NM* - 28/01/2011 09:14:30 PM 132 Views
