It is incredibly easy to read in German. Tom Send a noteboard - 19/02/2011 02:18:43 AM
Traumnovelle is more difficult. It's like jumping from L'étranger straight to Madame Bovary. I wish that I had found something on an intermediate level between the two, but looking up every unknown word leads to vocabulary building. I hope that, a few weeks from now, I'll be reading with minimal dictionary involvement (like I already am in French).
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

ἡ δὲ κἀκ τριῶν τρυπημάτων ἐργαζομένη ἐνεκάλει τῇ φύσει, δυσφορουμένη, ὅτι δὴ μὴ καὶ τοὺς τιτθοὺς αὐτῇ εὐρύτερον ἢ νῦν εἰσι τρυπώη, ὅπως καὶ ἄλλην ἐνταῦθα μίξιν ἐπιτεχνᾶσθαι δυνατὴ εἴη. – Procopius

You weren't really slamming a Nobel laureate in favor of a shitty writer like Coelho, were you? - 18/02/2011 06:29:17 PM 1354 Views
