The day before, July 11th, go to a Target or Walgreens or CVS or some such place and get one of those Visa gift cards. Put like $75 on it. Next day, go buy the book. Then, print up a little flier for her favorite shoe store about some imaginary sale that requires her to hand the flier at the time of checkout. The flier should say "All Shoes $5". Then let her loose. Don't tell her teh card only has $75 on it. By the time she figures it all out, she'll only have gotten one pair of shoes and you'll be half way through the book.
