Doh! I loved, loved, loved The Name of the Wind! Tashmere Send a noteboard - 21/03/2011 12:47:05 AM
I loved most of the second book as well. But the first book was something else. I had just read or tried to read several other books that people had raved about and they were nothing but a chore. It was so depressing when I began to wonder if I had somehow lost my love of reading since I wasn't getting what other people had recommended so highly and then I picked this book up and within just a few pages I could tell that this book was going to be special. This book was magic.

You can skip a large chunk when he meets Felurian. But once that is almost over he picks up again. *NM* - 20/03/2011 08:41:08 PM 214 Views
Well, that's in the second book. And I do agree. Much of it's just the same stuff repeated. *NM* - 20/03/2011 08:45:29 PM 234 Views
