On the other hand, people have the right to be legitimately pissed off about Martin (or anyone else, for that matter). If Martin hadn't assured his readers that he was finishing the series in a few years I wouldn't have started it until it was finished. I was already pissed off about Robert "it's going to be a trilogy" Jordan and his endless series.
Having received the attentions of the people who seem to take that irritation as a personal insult (to whom I recommend a life outside Martin's sweaty caresses) and the people who think Neil Gaiman is a god and his advice is dispositive on the subject (to whom I recommend therapy), I reiterate: people have a right to be pissed off.
