I thought the Snake worked rather well for the book, actually. Started in DoD (I think) and I remember putting together that they were in Kolanse, fleeing Assail. I liked Badalle, thought she was odd and crazy but fun to read about.

At first I just didn't care about them - we were introduced to this very morbid concept of abandoned children doing gross things to survive - just dumped into it, GotM style.

However, they're role changed when Banascher recognizes it as a manifestation of D'rek, which may be how D'rek came to be with the BH in the first place.

- Draconus is such a badass. That's all.
One among many in this series. Karsa Orlong, anyone?

So, for his one scene in this book, Karsa finally accepts his role in the House of Chains and takes out Fener - apparently all that was left of Fener's power was in some tusk in Darujhistan? weird.

Did anyone else think The Snake's poetry was actually pretty good? *NM* - 31/03/2011 10:57:46 PM 279 Views

Gonna agree it was at times too melodramatic, but some were good. *NM* - 03/04/2011 05:45:28 AM 269 Views
