It's the principle of the thing. It falls me that people will still buy his next book even though it's plainly obvious he wishes he never started the series. A man has to meet the expectations he created. It's good business.
i do feel your frustration for the wait tho, i had a 9 year gap to fill between GS: TLA and GS: DD but i didn't bitch and the wait was totaly worth it, GS (golden sun) on the DS is so much better than the GBA. so hold your horses and GRRM will prolly surprise the pants off you.
It's not just him. Sadly, it seems to be vogue among authors to take years. Except for Brandon Sanderson. Dude is a machine.
