I don't know that I love any of the characters. (spoilers, if anyone cares)

I love that book so much. I haven't read it in years, though. Damn limited time. Don't you love Dobbin?
And I'm a bit disappointed in how easily George Osborne's looming shadow is discarded, in the end - the end which, incidentally, really should have been some chapters shorter, but this seems to be a problem of all the Victorian novels.
I am mostly marveling at how Thackeray manages to move back and forth between cynicism and sentimentality, with all the satire besides which is quite funny when one gets it (which, one not being a contemporary of Thackeray's, is sadly not very often, even with the help of the footnotes).
I'll try writing a review tomorrow, this book definitely deserves some pimping.

Happy May! What are you reading this month?
