Hm, okay. I have to say my reading pace in French remains slow compared to English, so I don't really expect to read a lot of her books in a row... but at some point I might check it out.
Dreams of the Sea was weird, wasn't it? She sets up interesting mysteries, but the resolutions are very slow in coming. (Not in the first 2 books, which is all that's been translated into English so far.)

Yes, I just went back to that post of yours where you asked a number of questions in case I ever got to read the final books, and most of those are questions I already have halfway the first book, so if they're still unsolved by the end of the second, "slow in coming" sounds about right...
