Anyway. Here is a test. I'd be interested to hear what you get, as a semi-scientific sampling of the reading public (please let me know if you get something right because you recognise the passage).

And while I didn't recognize any of the passages (even from Atonement, the one book I'd read), the mention of "Amina" somehow made me think of Salman Rushdie, so maybe that one shouldn't count.

Edit: well, okay, I've read The Notebook too. :P
