Unfortunately, I read The Davinchi Code right after I read Les Miserables and it didn't stand a chance in comparison, so I never understood the people jumping on the Dan Brown bandwagon and they couldn't understand why I wasn't blown away by his book.

it is easy to understand people who jump on the Dan Brown bandwagon. You just have to realise those are people who haven't had an original thought in their whole lives, nor have they ever read a good book. Just imagine yourself as a uncultured piece of white trash, and you'll probably like the book :D.
