I was told by an author/reviewer that squirrels are mentioned at least three times in ADWD's 1000 pages. How awesome is that? 
According to those in the know, Dany's dragons all get killed off, so she invades Westeros with an army of fire-breathing squirrels. They turn out to be surprisingly effective.
