after the first 4 chapters the book is meh, and doesn't pick up again till Dracula ships himself to England via the boat and you read the Captain's diary, only to become meh again once Dracula reaches England


It picks up again when they are hunting him to the point of entering his house waiting in ambush. But yeah, once he leaves England in response then it gets mheh again.
But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...
