5. WOW did my memory and HBO do a disservice to Dannery's first time with Drogo. I remembered it as basically being rape and HBO certainly showed it that way but it really wasn't. Yes she didn't get to choose who she married but Drogo was actually very sensitive and caring much more so than in the show.


The thing is that he was sensitive and caring only on this first time... after that it was mostly everyday rape...until she learns how to make him fall in love and started to love him back too.
I believe on screen it would look odd why he is nice with her once and then he is not... The way they did it is makes much more sense.
