The results of NPR's Top 100 Science-Fiction and Fantasy survey have been announced. Most of the usual suspects are present (LotR, Dune, 1984) although some of the books listed were as surprise (I never heard of Sunshine before). But, of course, it's the who didn't make it that causes the biggest discussion all over the fandom (my personal peeve - Blindsight was not even among finalist)
So what do you think?
I just got asked if I wanted to have my own section on a blog where I discussed this list. Should I? I've read several on it, and there are a few that I just couldn't finish. (ie Dune, Red Mars.) There's also several I'd like to read, like Douglas Adams and the Sandman series.

Eh. At least it doesn't pretend to be a Best Of list.

Since it was voted on by fans, it would seem to be a Most Popular list.

That makes sense but the problem is YA is more of a marketing tool than a genre
