I read several of the Deverry books and then just had to stop. What do you think of Darkspell?

I don't know that I'd go around recommending it, but I did enjoy it. I don't read a lot of fantasy though, so it could be that it was enjoyable enough because it has been awhile. I can say that I had a hard time connecting with the characters; they didn't mean much to me, and I found them predictable.
