Or rather, I read slow and I read lots of different things at the same time.
I'm still reading A Dance With Dragons right now (yes, I started the week after it came out). I've only been reading it during my half hour lunch breaks. But I'll be finished next week, and then I'll start Brandon Sanderson's Way of Kings.
I'm also reading my regular history. I'm on the first volume of Shelby Foote's Civil War trilogy. It's delightful and engaging. I may read The Lost City of Z between the first volume and the second.
I'm also reading a book about animal behaviours, which inspired my regular community board column about animals (today's is late, it'll get done later; EDIT - actually it will be done tomorrow, because I just typed most of it out and then lost it with a misclick on my browser). I'm about 300 of 500 pages through that one. I love it. After that I plan to pick up a reference book about geology and the Earth.
I'm also doing a complete read-through of all of the X-Men related comics, from the 60s through to the present day. I'm in the 70s right now.
I'm also reading a travel book about 500 neat wild places around the Earth that people can visit. I read that while I exercise.

I can never decide what type of book I should be reading, so I just do all of them at once.
