They are a wonderful mix of both. Dreadful, with heaving bosoms and perfect, beautiful people, and a woman praised for her with who is rather a dim bulb. BUT it somehow also manages to be WONDERFUL.

:[ She is not dim! She is just suffering! Suffering people are allowed to be a little slow! They have other things on their minds!

She is rather dim. Really. Seriously. She is lovely, and all that, but she has been living with him, she has seen him before he presented himself as an inane fop; clearly she is rather less than perceptive.
